FaceUp & the CCPA

The California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 as set forth in California Civil Code § 1798.100 et seq. and as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020, together with the respective regulations (hereinafter the “CCPA”) gives Californian consumers more control over the personal information that businesses collect about them. This section provides additional information for California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). 

For purposes of this CCPA notice, “personal information” has the meaning provided by the CCPA and does not include information that is publicly available, that is deidentified, anonymous or aggregated, or that is otherwise excluded from the CCPA’s scope. 

Meeting CCPA requirements

In addition to our privacy policy standards set out to protect your personal information according to the respective applicable laws (GDPR in particular), FaceUp undertakes to comply with the personal information protection requirements and rights regulated by the CCPA. You have in particular: 

  • The right to know about the personal information we have collected about you and how it is used and shared;
  • The right to access your personal information we have collected about you
  • The right to delete personal information we have collected from you;
  • The right to opt-out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, (however, we never knowingly sell or share any of your personal information to third parties); and
  • The right to correct inaccurate personal information that we have collected about you; and
  • The right to limit the use or disclosure of your sensitive personal information, (however, we do not use or disclose your sensitive personal information in such a manner as to require provision of the right);
  • The right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights under the CCPA.

We annualy upgrade our existing privacy policy in order to comply with the respective CCPA requirements in effect. 

FaceUp never knowingly sells or shares your personal information (for cross-context behavioral advertising), in particular any sensitive personal information, nor any children's personal information.
